Have a bad feeling...

Ok after reading the article on the Giants Website I really don't like what I read. I have a sneaky sneaky suspicion that the Giants are going to settle on signing Beltre(who has been so OVERRATED since that one season he had with the dodgers in 04' I believe..you know what season I'm talking about) and that would be a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE deal for the Giants. I can see it now, Sabean: "We are proud to announce the newest addition to the Giants Team 2 years for 20 Mill. Adrian Beltre!!" Let take a look and see how he did last year... well a .265 Batting Avg...no thank you. What about his power numbers...8 HR's and 44 RBI's.. COME ON SABEAN What are those the magic numbers to play on the Giants? That's basically how well the entire team did last year, no counting Pablo. I'm really tired of these "Has-Been" players getting signed to the Giants and Sabean sugar coating it and selling it as a great pickup for the Giants. If the Giants settle for and overpay for Beltre I'm going to have a hard time supporting Sabean this season.

Is this what you want to see on the Giants, an X Dodger!

I think the only way the Giants will be able to improve the team is by trades. Giants have plenty of weapons to trade away to teams that have some great hitters and are in need of some young pitching. I say for now if we can't trade for a young and proven hitter we just wait and see how Ishikawa or Garko pan out during Spring Training. Ishikawa could be a diamond in the rough and didn't have that bad of a Rookie season. He has power and a great glove, add some confidence to him and he might be an Allstar. It is a whole lot easier to play when you know you have the job, Giants FO needs to make Ishikawa feel he is going to be given another shot at the job. Give him another chance!! Garko on the other hand, I think Giants shot themself in the foot when they made the trade for him. Hopefully he has some trade value left and the Giants can dump him off to another team in a package deal for a hitter. The next couple of months are going to be interesting and I hope and pray to god Giants don't make foolish deals!

I'm not sure why it said that or why I had to get a special code sent to my phone to get back on my account...If anyone has ever had this happen to them and knows why it happen please comment or send me a message explaining what's going on. In the mean time I will check out some Giants news and post a new article soon. Thanks

Video I took of Tim Lincecum Warming up.

I took this video while I was in DC over the summer. This was in July the game before Johnson had his 300th career victory game. Giants started out good, but Lincecum wasn't on his A game and was taken out early. Giants bullpen ended up giving up about 6 runs in the 7th inning which lost the game for them. Still it was cool being that close to Tim and watching him warmup in the bullpen.

Giants to make an "Uggla" trade?

It is reported on the Giants official website that they are not focusing on a "hitter". I think everyone knows the Giants need a hitter and who is that hitter? They stated that Dan Uggla is a possibility, now Uggla will give us so power no doubt, but brings a sub-par .243 batting average along with him. At this point I'll take a guy who's hit over 30 HR's 3 years in a row we needed that last year. Giants need to be careful and not give too much in return if the Marlins and Giants do agree in a trade. Giants FO has be notorious the past couple of years on making terrible trades(we all remember AJ Pier. for Nathan, Liriano, and Boof! and how can we forget about the Garko gym last year) so if the Giants could pull off a possible Fred Lewis and some minor league pitching for Uggla that would be great in my opinion.

"The Giants already have Freddy Sanchez at second, but he could be moved to third to make room for Uggla, which would move Pablo Sandoval to first base.

The Marlins are expected to have a high asking price for Uggla, but the Giants could offer a starting pitcher like Jonathan Sanchez, or a package of minor leaguers."

Is this going to be the Giants new infield next year? Sanchez at 3rd, Rent. at SS, Uggla at 2nd, and Pandoval at 1st? Hey that sounds like a huge improvement to me and I'm super excited to see if the Giants could pull this trade off without giving up to much. I would hate to see the Jonathan "Dirty" Sanchez go, man when he's on he is NASTY(by the way I was at his No Hitter on July 10th best game ever!!!), so I will hope the Giants don't trade him. Thanks for reading and drop me some comments on what you think and what I got wrong. Thanks

Giants' free-agent search is about to gain momentum!! Yea whatever you say Sabean...

The article on the Giants website talks about how the Giants are going after these great under the radar players that will have a great effect on their offense next year and the players they mention are Mark DeRosa, Nick Johnson, Jermaine Dye, and Xavier Nady...Really? Isn't this exactly what the Giants front office does every year? Mark DeRosa is the main free agent they are going after-

"DeRosa is one player who might prompt activity. Despite being 34 and recovering from left wrist surgery, he reportedly has more than a dozen suitors. DeRosa provides flexibility with his aptitude for playing first base, second, third and the outfield. He hit 23 homers last season, which would have ranked second on the Giants, and his 78 RBIs would have been third-best."

Oh please I feel another Rich Aurillia coming with that signing if the Giants FO does go after him. Really a 36 year old coming off a wrist injury? That's the best the Giants can do? Sabean mentions that the Giants are completely backing off going after Jason Bay and Matt Holliday, no surprise there, Giant's goign after players that will drive in more than 100 RBI's? don't make me laugh! Then they explain that DeRosa would of had 2nd best in HR's on the Team and 3rd best in RBI's...wow amazing! Giant's had if not the worst one of the WORST offenses last year so being 3rd or 2nd in HR's and RBI's on the team isn't that great of a feat.

Out of all the players they mentioned in the article the only one I wouldn't totally hate if we got would be Xavier Nady. Injuries side lined him last year, but he is still relativly young, I think he's going to be 32 this year, and in 2008 he finished the season with a career high in batting AVG. HR's and RBI's. He hit .305 with 25 HR's and 97 RBI's. I wouldn't mind giving him a chance at all, maybe he could play some 1st base and in the OF as well.

So as you can see Sabean is up to his usual self, I highly doubt they will sign Nady and not one Giants Fan will be surprised and if you are I have one question for you. Have you been watching the way Sabean sign's players the last couple years? They have to be over 35 yrs old, coming off an injury, used to be an Allstar, and they are declining in their career...

That's all I have for you now thanks for reading, feel free to comment or correct me.

Tryin this thing called bloggin out....

Hello anyone that might actually read this? This is a new thing to me and I'm not sure how well this is going to work out, but it seemed like something fun to do. I'm not usually much of a writer and sometimes it's hard for me to put on paper exactly what my brain is thinking. Well anyways I'm making this blog and I'm mostly going to talk about sports and what's going on in the sports world. I'm a huge fan of baseball, I love the San Francisco Giants, yes I know, but I will try to be as un bias as possible and give fair oppinions of other teams. I am a fan of football, recently just got into really watching the NFL the past couple years, but I am going to try and get more involved into watching it. Other sports such as Basketball, Hockey, etc. I can watch, but really don't have much to say about them. So what I'm really trying to say is that most of this blog will be about MLB and NFL stuff.

Sports will be about 80% of the blog, but I will make comments on other subject that cross my mind and raise by brows. Anyways if anyone is actually reading thank you for your intrest and give me comments on anything I need to improve on, what you would like me to talk about, or.....idk anything! Remember I'm new at this so bare with me.. Thanks
